BC Bioenergy Invests $1.5 Million in Harvest’s Fraser Richmond

February 3, 2012

Great news! Today the BC Bioenergy Network announced a big chunk of funding for Fraser Richmond Soil and Fibre, a Harvest company located in Richmond, British Columbia. The $1.5 million investment will be used to build a commercial-scale high solids anaerobic digestion (HSAD) plant and mobile HSAD testing unit. Both facilities will make up part of Harvest’s “Energy Garden” in Richmond, an organics recycling project that will divert 27,000 tonnes of organic materials from BC landfills.

We’re thrilled about BC Bioenergy’s investment and excited to continue our efforts to change the way North America manages organic materials. To learn more about the new funding, check out our press release here.
