Samples of Sustainability Around the World
May 31, 2012

We recently came across an article by Ashley Halligan titled “Four Sustainability Projects You’ve Never Heard Of.” Strap on a virtual seat belt made from recycled materials and journey to:
- Songdo, South Korea – showcasing an “aerotropolis” and a 100-acre Central Park,
- Medellin, Colombia – building an innovative escalator that connects low income with higher income (pictured),
- Naples, Italy – participating in World Clean Up efforts, and
- Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – pioneering transportation and waste management modifications.
We were impressed with the innovations around to world designed to use resources wisely. Enjoy!
